Fluorerscent Tape Description

Fluorescent tape is a type of adhesive tape that is designed to appear bright and highly visible, especially under normal lighting conditions. Unlike luminous tape (which glows in the dark after exposure to light), fluorescent tape works by absorbing UV light and then reflecting it in a vivid, glowing color. The vibrant colors, such as neon yellow, orange, pink, green, or red, make it highly noticeable and are particularly useful in high-visibility environments.

Fluorescent Tape Application

1. Safety and Hazard Marking

  • Workplace Safety:
Fluorescent tape is commonly used in factories, construction sites, and warehouses to mark hazardous areas, such as edges of stairs, equipment, or dangerous zones. Its vibrant colors make it easy for workers to see potential hazards from a distance.

  • Traffic and Road Safety:
It’s applied to road signs, cones, barriers, and posts to increase visibility in daylight, ensuring drivers and pedestrians can identify potential risks or obstructions. It’s often used on construction sites and roadwork zones to highlight danger areas.

  • Emergency Equipment Marking:
In public spaces, fluorescent tape is used to mark fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency exits, and other essential safety equipment, ensuring they are quickly identifiable during emergencies.

2. Marking and Organizing Areas

  • Aisle and Pathway Marking:
Fluorescent tape is often used in warehouses, factories, and office spaces to define aisles, walkways, and paths. This helps guide people safely around the workspace and ensures that areas are clearly marked for organization.

  • Inventory and Storage:
It can be used to mark specific shelves, storage bins, or products in a warehouse or retail setting. The tape helps employees quickly identify the location of items and enhances the organization.

Storage:

  1. Store under normal conditions of 10-30℃ and 40-70% R.H, out of direct sunlight.
  2. Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in initial packing.

Precaution Reminder:

  1. Surface should be clean, dry, free of dust, oil or other contaminants.
  2. Proper pressure required by roller, hand or press when applying.
  3. Avoid repeat sticking to prevent adhesion decrease.
